Client Reviews of NLPC

We have recently used Soo for the first time to look after our cats while we were visiting family in the US.

She took such wonderful care of them and the house that I can't imagine using anyone else in future. She sent lots of updates and pictures, and really spent time with them every day. It's the least I've worried about them whilst abroad. She even dealt with some house issues that came up.

I will always recommend her if someone asks. One of my cats has had some health issues and she really went above and beyond to understand them and make sure he took his meds daily.

I can't recommend Soo highly enough!!! She is always smiley and cheerful and clearly so in love with her job and all those that she looks after. Soo's always taking piccies of the pets in her charge when out walking them so owners can see the fun, attention and exercise they're having. Such a genuine animal lover and lovely person :)

Soo has taken care of Ralph since he was a wee kitten. She endured the terrible teens period where he would go AWOL, insisting on staying out all hours until she found him, right through to adulthood where he continues to test us in his own unique way.

Ralph adores her (and he doesn’t everyone!!) What’s so lovely is how Soo clearly genuinely adores Ralph too though.

She goes above and beyond with her care. She does not just pop in and out, her priority is the animal having everything they need while you're away, their health and welfare and the security of your house.

She is incredibly experienced, knowledgeable and always there to offer support and expert advice. I would not trust anyone else with my precious fur baby and even won’t move from her catchment area!!

I cannot recommend Soo enough, she is absolute gold and a one off.

Soo is amazing!

She has walked Captain since he was a puppy and he absolutely adores her. You can tell that she genuinely cares for the animals she works with. Soo has been really flexible working around shift patterns for us and I trust her completely.

The lovely photos she sends us of Captain often cheer me up whilst I’m at work and it’s great to see what he’s been up to with his little doggy pals. I am sure that spending time with Soo has helped Captain grow into a well behaved dog - and she’s even got him eating carrots! I can’t recommend North Leeds Pet Care highly enough.

We have just returned from a weeks holiday. This is the third time that Soo has looked after our cats while we are away. Each day she has sent us messages about the cats and photos of them. She is genuinely caring and interested in the cats, and in addition to food/water/litter - she spends time with them, playing with them and giving them some company and affection.

Soo is reliable and responsible, and also replies quickly to any messages. When we return everything is clean and tidy and there are calm and happy cats waiting to meet us. She also leaves a cat diary of how they have been.

We are very glad that we have met Soo. It makes going away so much easier, and we recommend her to anyone who needs holiday cat care.

I knew Soo was the perfect dog visitor/sitter/walker/adviser I needed to help take care of Geoffrey from her first email reply about puppy visits and how they could work for us.

From the get go she gave great advice and showed real care, attention and enthusiasm for my puppy; later I found this extends to all aspects of the life and wellbeing of all animals.

Geoffrey had the best experience with Soo from early puppy visits where she would play, walk, clean and give Geoffrey well needed attention in our home through to group walks where he got the chance to explore a variety of walks with a fantastic group of dogs which would become his great friends.

Soo is so much more than a dog walker she provides exceptional care beyond which I ever expected and with great advice and commitment helped me to give Geoffrey the best well-rounded start to his life. I never had to worry once about Geoffrey as I knew he would be both safe and happy with Soo.

Soo should also be a pet photographer, I have seen her in action and thanks to her Geoffrey knows how to pose!

We all hate leaving Pepsi and Enzo when we go away, but it is so much easier with Soo in charge.

I actually think my cats are disappointed when we return!

Soo is amazing there is no other word for it. When we are away we get pictures to show how much fun they are having and when we get back we have stories to read about what the antics they have been up to. I would highly recommend Soo to anyone, I feel so grateful we found her.

Soo is just amazing .. my cat fell in love with her (not an easy thing for my cat). She is so cheerful, and trustworthy with both my home and my cat.. The time she spends with her is invaluable to me and the updates and pictures she sends makes me happy and relaxed that my cat is happy. She is a must if you need a cat sitter. We both love her ❤️

Soo has been walking my dog Charlie since May 2016, providing her with 4 solo walks a week. She is always cheerful, friendly and reliable and I trust her completely with both my house security and my beloved Charlie.

She has become a family friend.

She gives Charlie the extra exercise and games which I am now unable to give her when I walk her myself. Having Soo also frees up my time to do other things whilst she walks Charlie 4 times a week so it’s a very good arrangement!  Charlie loves Soo and really looks forward to her walks and ball play. She waits in the front window watching for Soo’s car to arrive!

I would certainly recommend Soo at North Leeds Pet Care as someone you can trust with both your pet and your home.

Soo walked Benjy every week day for me from January to August 2016. I managed to find her at very short notice over the Christmas period when my regular walker found another job. What could have been a stressful time trying to find someone new to trust with my house key and my dog instantly disappeared when I met Soo. She is a complete professional, knows more about doggie behaviour than anyone I know and has also been a calming person to chat to these last few months on the odd occasion we have both been in the same place at the same time. Benjy adores her (although to be fair he will adore anyone who gives him carrots!). One of the things I have been most impressed with is that she varies her walking locations each day. My previous walker had a fixed route through Roundhay Park and never deviated. Soo takes her dogs all over the place. It is great to get the WhatsApp photo updates of their adventures also. She has also put up with his quite disturbing habit of launching himself at some dogs without warning while ignoring others. A lesser mortal might have given up because it can be quite wearing, but she has learned to read his body language and developed strategies to avoid any potential confrontations. I think he is actually calmer now than when she started. She has been very patient with him.

We are moving away from Leeds and we cannot take her with us, unfortunately. If you need a walker for your dog I highly recommend her!

If you're looking for someone to care for your beloved pet, then look no further. A couple of years ago I found myself in a difficult situation whereby my elderly friend in Leeds 8 went into hospital and I needed to find someone to visit and care for her beloved cat, Alexi. Left on his own Alexi had become afraid and would hide under the bed and hiss when approached. Fortunately I met Soo and from the outset I felt assured she had the knowledge and skill to assist in our situation. Day by day she gained Alexi’s trust and slowly he ventured out from his hiding place. It was a joy to witness Alexi’s daily improvement and to see him play with his new toys and to watch him happily eat his food. I really don’t know how we would have coped without her . Soo came into our lives at just the right time.

When my friend returned home from hospital she required ongoing support to meet Alexi’s needs and since then Soo has managed to invigorate Alexi and transform his little character in the most positive of ways. He is no longer timid and scared. Nowadays he will greet people, run around the room and even let you stroke him! He’s a happy and playful pussy cat and it’s all because I was incredibly fortunate to meet someone who has absolute care, commitment, passion and love for our four legged friends. His life has been enriched and he’s gained an extra friend who pops in every day to see him. The ever present look of delight on Alexi’s face speaks volumes . . . . Thanks !

Dear Pet Owners, We have known Soo as a good friend and neighbour for the past sixteen years and have always found her to be reliable, trustworthy and conscientious. She looks out for our six cats on a daily basis and they love the time they spend with her. Soo has also taken full responsibility for our cats and our home whenever we have been away on holiday. Not only does she feed the cats but spends time grooming and playing with them so that they feel secure and loved whilst we are not there. Soo has a genuine love of all animals and cares for our precious cats as if they were her own. She has helped us on numerous occasions to find missing cats who have temporarily wandered off but she also set up a neighbourhood poster and calling campaign when one cat was missing, which resulted in her safe return after a long, upsetting week! Other neighbours have also been helped by Soo when they have had difficulty with their pets, such as taking a poorly dog to the vet and dog walking when needed. We feel very fortunate to have such a caring and committed friend and neighbour and we would wholly recommend Soo to anyone looking for excellent service in animal care, pet sitting or dog walking.

I have known Soo for over 10 years and she has regularly been responsible for looking after and feeding my cat when I have been away. I have always found Soo to be totally reliable and trustworthy, and I am always happy that she will spend time with my cat and make sure that he has everything that he needs, including a cuddle or two!

She was also a massive help when my previous cat was very poorly and she provided much appreciated support when he died. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Soo to anyone looking for assistance with their cats or dogs - you couldn't leave your pets in better hands.
